FridayFest on the Bay - Project SRQ

When you want to hear a band play something different…Think smooth jazz with a kick! Project SRQ has the sound audiences will rave over. Each band member is a resident of Manatee and Sarasota Counties and each has greater than 25 years musical experience in various music genres. Project SRQ is Louis Robison; percussionist, Melvin Price; soprano, alto and tenor saxophone, Mario “O”; keyboards, Bill Hileman; electronic drums, Tony Rizzo; guitar, Jim Klein; six string bass, Louis Esposito; sound engineer. Friday Fest on the Bay is a free music series held once-a-month, May through October, drawing together the best of the Gulfcoast – its people, products and lifestyles, entertainers and uncompromising sunsets. The event is a community celebration bringing together everyone who enjoys great music, food, fun, and the beautiful Sarasota Bayfront. Area businesses have joined together to create a special summer season event to highlight all that Sarasota has to offer. Each month, residents and visitors alike are invited to come join the party! Along with live music, there will be food, beverage and arts and crafts vendors. Bring lawn chairs or blankets – no coolers please. The festival series is cosponsored by The Wilde Automotive Family, WSJT 94.1, Sarasota Arts Council, City of Sarasota, Comcast, Brighthouse, Goldcoast Eagle, Boar’s Head, SNN6, ABC7,The Herald Tribune Media Group and SunTrust Bank. Each festival takes place on Sarasota Bay at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall from 5 to 9 PM and is open to the public.
