To young Lemuel, who has escaped slavery in Georgia, life in Gettysburg is everything he had dreamed it would be. His ideas about the North and the South, as well as what it means to be a free man, are challenged, however, when he unexpectedly befriends Jacob, a young Confederate soldier.

Schooltime Performance tickets are $7 for students, teachers, and chaperones. After every 10 tickets purchased, Teachers will receive 1 complimentary ticket that may be given to a student or chaperone in need. The Van Wezel Foundation generously provides reimbursement to public schools unable to pay for transportation. Reimbursement for busing may be limited by the availability of grant funding.
